Chuck Rees, INTERACTIVE/PRINT DESIGNER

I was bred, born and raised in Walkerville. I moved once, from Kildare to Pierre Avenue, the difference of about seven blocks. I kicked off the Advertising program at St. Clair College by making awful ads, and by my final year, upgraded to making incomprehensible “witty” ads. The last speculative campaign I worked on in school was apparently good, since it now is on display at the College; the ink on the newspaper and outdoor executions is starting to fade, however.

Now I work as an Interactive/Print Designer at The Walkerville Times and Walkerville Publishing, cooking up web savvy graphics, tasty type and blindingly bright print ads. I’m the recipient and willing collector of small plastic items such as kaleidoscopes, and buggy eyed purple monkeys mounted on writing utensils.

Interests:
I’m interested in style. It’s applicable to everything one does in life.
Playing and producing music
Frothy German and Belgian beer

Howard Weeks, PHOTOGRAPHER

Elaine's older brother, Howard has been a professional photographer for twenty years. Born and raised in Walkerville, he moved to Toronto after graduating with a B.A. in psychology. He worked with troubled young youth for many years before changing directions to launch a new career as a photographer and owner of The I.N. Group, a talent agency for film, TV and print. Howard's photography and talent from his agency have been seen in national publications, commercials, films and music videos.

Besides capturing Walkerville on film, Howard enjoys his annual pilgrimages to Jamaica, his daily workouts and music. Single, he is a favourite uncle of 8 nephews and nieces and 1 great nephew.
